1 Born in Rome in 60 BC, at age of 41 he was made consul
2 He campaigned in Gaul and in Britain in 55-54 BC
3 In 48 BC he landed in Greece and destroyed Pompey’s forces.
4 Pompey escaped to Egypt where he was assassinated whereupon Caesar installed Cleopatra, daughter of Ptolemy XI as Queen.
5 By 47 BC he had subdued Asia Minor (Veni,Vidi,Vinci)
6 He was assassinated on the Ides (15th) of March in 44 BC
